We are an Air New Zealand Aviation Institute FTO Partner and will provide you with your basic training requirements right through to advanced multi-engine instrument rating training including GNSS.

Consistently high pass rates and a maximum instructor to student ratio of 1:4 ensures safe, quality instruction throughout each phase of your training. Our Instructors are experienced, dedicated and friendly. Nelson Aviation College is 100% locally owned and operated and has a family 'feel' to it. We know all of our students on a first name basis and are within easy reach of two international airports and mountainous terrain, providing a diverse training environment. The Nelson region has some of the highest sunshine hours in New Zealand each year.

Full Student Loan Funding is available in 2012 for both Aeroplane and Helicopter training for New Zealand Citizens & Permanent Residents (minimum time as a Permanent Resident is two years). The Student Loan covers both dual and solo hours used in your training programme.

Our next PPL course starts on 26th March and the next CPL course starts on 15th May. Interviews and aptitude testing will be held in Motueka, or via video conferencing for International students, at least a month prior to these dates. You will need to submit your registration and an ADAPT pre-screen report to be considered for enrolment onto a course.
