Accommodation

Students have the option of onsite accommodation, self-catering, or homestay.

All prices stated here are in NEW ZEALAND dollars.

NAC Onsite Accommodation

Located at our training facility at Motueka Aerodrome. All rooms are single occupancy and have new furniture and linen. A weekly cleaning and fresh linen service is provided. This accommodation is suitable for males only due to shared bathroom facilities.

A canteen is available onsite for lunch purchases for all students and we provide a separate kitchenette for live-in students to use for lunch and during the weekend.

Rent includes power, wireless internet and board (breakfast and dinner, Monday - Friday). Students are to provide their own towels and additional duvets if required.

Subject to availability as limited places are available. It is recommended that you secure accommodation early as it can be difficult close to the start date of the course.

Price:

NZ$190 per week plus a one-off refundable bond of $300 is payable on commencement.

NAC Self Cater Accommodation

Located at 430 High Street Motueka, 1.6km from the aerodrome is NAC's alternative self cater accommodation at Abbey Court Motel. Hosts Lenore and Ken Stewart offer a four bedroom unit to NAC students. The unit has its own kitchen, lounge and laundry facilities. Each bedroom is fully contained and secure.

Rent includes power, internet (up to 3GB per month) and a weekly linen change and cleaning service. Students are to provide their own towels and additional duvets if required.
Subject to availability as limited places are available. It is recommended that you secure accommodation early as it can be difficult close to the start date of the course.

Price:

NZ$130 per week plus a one-off refundable bond of $300 is payable on commencement.

Private Accommodation

Local families have traditionally hosted our students. All meals are provided and students are made to feel part of the family. Many families are very willing to help new students to adapt to the New Zealand way of life.

Those who choose to find their own private accommodation may choose to move on campus at any stage depending on room availablity.

Price:

Approximately NZ$165 to $195 per week

Self Catering

Furnished flats may be available for self-catering accommodation. Students are responsible for supplying their own bedding and towels etc. Power, internet and telephone are often an additional expense. NAC can provide students with the contact details of various Property Managers.

Price:

NZ$110 - $130 per week. A bond is usually required.

Please note that Nelson Aviation College does not recommend any individual private or self catering accommodation facility but is able to provide students with a list of availalbe accommodation in the area. NAC does not assess the suitablility of these accommodation options.
