Government Funding

NAC is in receipt of Student Loan funding for 2012.  A New Zealand Universal Tertiary Tuition Allowance is applied to reduce course fees to New Zealand Student Loan funded students.

Fees

The fees documented in the PDF file apply to New Zealand citizens and permanent residents only.  Please click here to view the current aeroplane and helicopter course fees.  For those enrolments requiring a student loan, payment of the course fees are processed through the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT).  NMIT then pays the funds to NAC by monthly instalments in arrears.

Students enrolling with NMIT will be required to pay NMIT a separate compulsory Student Union Fee of $125.00 including GST per EFT.  Additionally there will be a Student Services Levy of $1.00 per credit.

Due to on-going government negotiations at this time some components currently offered as part of the course fee may not be offered in the future.  All flying hours allocated for the flying modules must be flown at the college.

The course fees include:

  • Theory Instruction
  • Flight Training
  • Initial Flight Tests
  • Pilot Logbook
  • Airways Fees
  • Course Material
  • Aviation Manuals and Charts (1 Year Subscription)
  • CPL, IR and ATPL Examination Fees (Initial)

NB: Course costs include one attempt at each exam and flight test.  In the unlikely event of a test or exam failure, extra training and test or exam costs will be incurred.  These costs are not covered via student loan funding or included in the self funding course price.

The following additional costs are not covered by the Student Loan Fees or by the self funding Course Fees outlined on this website:
