Turbine Rating

 

With the addition of the Hughes 500C helicopter we are able to offer Turbine Ratings.  Students must first complete the Basic Gas Turbine theory credit.  We offer this course three times per year in May, August and November.  The minimum flight time requirement is outlined in the CAA Syllabus.  Turbine Rating training is carried out in accordance with this syllabus. This flight time can be completed at any stage of the year.  Students must hold a PPL or CPL licence prior to completing the Turbine Rating.  The currently hourly rate for the Hughes 500C is $1550.00/hour including GST.
