Withdrawal and Refunds

Students wanting to withdraw must notify NAC and complete the necessary withdrawal and refund forms. Any fees paid in advance will be held in the NAC Public Trust Account for the duration of the withdrawal period in accordance with Section 236A of the Education Act 1989.

If you withdraw at any time up to the end of the eighth day from the start of the course on which you are enrolled, you are entitled to a refund equal to the full amount less 10% of the payments or $500 which ever is the lesser.

Any student withdrawing from courses after two weeks from the commencement date is not entitled to a full refund.  However in the case of practical flying courses all unused fees for flying will be reimbursed.

NAC may charge the student a $500 administration fee that will be deducted from the refundable amount.

The college reserves the right to terminate a students tuition:
· If the student fails to pay course fees
· In the event of continued unexplained absences (an attendance of 85% of the total course is required).
· In the event of criminal behaviour by the student either at the college or within the community.
· Due to misconduct e.g. alcohol/drug use

Students will be given the right to appeal any decision made by the college.  Decisions will be based on all evidence and information supplied.

NOTE: The college is required to notify The NZ Immigration Service when an international student withdraws.

Consumer Protection Mechanisms

In the unlikely event NAC is unable to complete the delivery of any course, NAC will refund to the student all fees for the undelivered part of the course from the funds in the Public Trust Account.
The intent of this mechanism is to protect the students if the Private Training Establishment fails financially.
