Pilot Theory Courses

Nelson Aviation College in partnership with Waypoints Aviation and Dragonflight Aviation offer ATPL theory ground courses.  Each subject is taught individually with exams available each week to enable students to attend individual subjects or the entire course.  We have an eight week full-time course running from the 12th June to 6th August 2012.  The course includes all seven ATPL subjects as follows:

  • Instruments & Navigation Aids         Tuesday 12th to Friday 15th June; Exam Monday 18th June
  • Navigation                                        Tuesday 19th to Friday 22nd June; Exam Monday 25th June        
  • Human Factors                                 Tuesday 26th to Friday 29th June; Exam Monday 2nd July  
  • Meteorology                                      Tuesday 3rd July to Tuesday 10th July; Exam Friday 13th July                                     
  • Systems & Performance                   Monday 16th July to Friday 20th July; Exam Monday 23rd July 
  • Flight Planning                                   Tuesday 24th July to Saturday 28th July; Exam Monday 30th July 
  • Law                                                  Tuesday 31st July to Friday 3rd August; Exam Monday 6th August 
We are also running the following subjects on alternative dates:
 
  • Human Factors                                Tuesday 7th to Friday 10th February; Exam Tuesday 14th February
  • Navigation                                        Tuesday 20th to Friday 23rd March; Exam Tuesday 27th March
  • Law                                                 Tuesday 17th to Friday 20th April; Exam Tuesday 24th April
  • Meteorology                                     Monday 7th May to Monday 14th May; Exam Tueday 15th May
It is highly recommended that you are current at CPL level prior to attending any or all of the modules.

NB: Course costs include all ATPL notes & textbooks.
To confirm your placement on the full course or on an individual subject please complete the attached registration form and forward your payment to Nelson Aviation College.  Your placement will be confirmed on receipt of payment.  Please note that places are limited and course fees are non refundable. Exam costs are additional.

 

In association with Air Wanganui you are able to complete self-funded practical ATPL training.
